How do I get in touch?
By email or on Instagram. Tell us what you have in mind, and photos or sketches help. We may reply to talk your idea through. Sending an enquiry does not place an order, make a booking or create any obligation, and a reply cannot be promised.
Is this website an online shop?
No. This website is for discovering our work and making an enquiry. You cannot buy or pay for anything through it, and there is no checkout. Grillz are made to order: you can design yours in our invitation-only Private Design Studio and send it to us as an enquiry, and we then reply personally with a quotation.
Can I see what things cost?
Yes, for grillz. In the Private Design Studio each tooth is priced on its own (for example, from £85 a tooth in Sterling Silver, £165 in 9ct Gold, £210 in 14ct Gold and £280 in 18ct Gold, with Window designs a little more, and Diamond Dustcut adding £40 a tooth), and a running design subtotal is shown as you choose. That subtotal is not a quotation: Matrix confirms your final personalised quotation, including any impression kit, delivery or other charges, before anything is agreed or paid. Matrix is not currently VAT registered, so no VAT is added. Prices for other jewellery are discussed individually.
What metals, designs and finishes do you work with?
Our grillz are made in Sterling Silver and in 9ct, 14ct and 18ct Gold (yellow, white or rose), in Plain, Window or Line/Tip designs, with a High Mirror Polish finish as standard or Diamond Dustcut as a premium upgrade. The grillz previews on this site are rendered illustrations to show the look; they are not photographs of finished pieces. The details of any piece are something to discuss, not a promise made by this website.
Are the grillz previews real pieces?
No. They are rendered illustrations on a reference mouth, shown to give an idea of metals, designs and finishes. They are not photographs of customers or of finished pieces, and they are not an offer.
How does a commission work, and how do I pay?
You design your grillz in the Private Design Studio (or tell us your idea) and send it as an enquiry. We reply personally with a written quotation. If you accept it, full payment is made before making begins, using the payment method given in your quotation; there is no online checkout. We then post you an impression kit with instructions and return arrangements, and make your piece once we have impressions we can use. Any charge for the kit, postage or delivery is stated in your quotation before you agree, and we do not promise a delivery date on this website. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
Where do you work?
Matrix Jewellery is an independent, online-only jewellery brand based in Coventry. There is no shop, showroom or walk-in service: we work with you by email and Instagram.
Can I visit you?
No. There are no walk-in visits, because Matrix is online-only. Please get in touch by email or Instagram and we will say what is possible.
Are grillz a dental treatment?
No. Grillz are removable cosmetic jewellery. Matrix does not diagnose or treat teeth. If you have loose teeth, gum problems, braces or any other dental concerns, speak to a dentist.
Do you make other jewellery?
Our work includes pendants, rings, chains, bracelets and one-off pieces. Look through the portfolio and jewellery pages, and get in touch if you would like to talk about an idea.
